A gift that keeps giving

McHenry County Farm Bureau and its Foundation provide the Ag in the Classroom program with financial and in-kind support. But, we have reached a point where demand of our programs and services has out paced our revenue stream.

Just eight years ago our teacher's newsletter distribution was 750, today that number exceeds 2,500. Demand for our programs and services have gone up dramatically as well. Last year, we reached 11,926 students and utilized 150 volunteers. In order to meet this growing demand our Board of Directors has asked for your help.

To help meet this growing demand, The Board of Directors has set up a new donors program. We will be listing donors on our Ag in the classroom materials, our website and include their names in our quarterly publications.

Donors can select from the following levels: Gold $500 and above, Silver $300-$499 and Bronze $100-$299. These donations can be either cash or items with a reasonable cash value.

Current gold donors include: Conserv FS, Deans Foods, IAA Foundation, Illinois Pork Producers Association, McHenry County Antique Farm Equipment Association and Quality Water Conditioning.  Bronze donors include: Northeast Cattlemen's Association and Buck Brothers.

We also would be glad to work with a variety of other options including estates, memorials and planned giving. Please feel free to call us for more information at 815-338-1520 or e-mail Dan Volkers at mcfbmgr@att.net.
McHenry County Farm Bureau Foundation is a 501 C 3 charitable organization.

We need you...

As a farmer, you understand the vital role education plays in Illinois agriculture. Whether it's teaching non-farm students where their food comes from or giving rural teens college scholarships, farm education and awareness build a bright future and strong agricultural leaders.

The McHenry County Farm Bureau Foundation realizes the need and supports programs like Agriculture in the Classroom and Summer Ag Institute for Teachers. It helps teachers, parents, and ag professionals spark enthusiasm and appreciation for farmers like you and the products you produce.

However, the McHenry County Farm Bureau Foundation can't do it alone. It needs your help. By making a charitable contribution to the Foundation, you pass on a proud tradition of agriculture. Through donation, memorials, and planned giving, you can use your farm assets to carry on your lasting commitment to agriculture and the farming way of life.
